Rain Hat 03:59
I don’t want to revert to you Cursed Quincy enough for two The overhead that I never took Cause headlight deer wont work And I'm just so glad for you Run from here This rain hat on your ears And even as I smile I see This rain hat’s built for me And even in your Cons or your boots When I’m faded on your roof We built a line from here so soon And I'm just so glad for you And I’m just so glad for you Round your room The mess we made was proof Can’t rid myself of them so soon And i’m just so glad for you Cons, crooks, cracks between your books Filled with fools, your friends from back in school
2.
Jaws 03:39
You, I never wanted to get through And true- it’s not the easiest part to choose I felt so sure in this one way- I was right When people say that you should leave it behind They ignore all that’s good from the fight We drank your nice gin til dawn And he- he knew I didn’t belong In my backyard we acted so right When people say you shouldn’t chase it Are they saying it to level off their own divide You never close your jaws Remember when I said all my friends were depressed But it’s the first time i was happy in a while You never close your jaws
3.
St. James 03:50
And it wasn’t long, before i fell for a hole where no heart Had ever lived. Falling for a fort just to crawl Running. All the wounds- theyre running down to our shoes Robbing and grave, carry them away- you found an old soul Cabinets are closed, call me out i know, I wont find your glass Make it strong so we can air it out while he sings in the back Kingsland turns Nassau, Scholes it but a passing accident I never said he was perfect but truth is that it worked out like nothing ever had You dont have to move if you don’t love me anymore Started with a night- ended with a why, humboldt took me home Said it wasnt me below the bqe I called out your lie I’m praying now to saint james, she’s living off the R train, he’s living out of bags I always said he was perfect- and saint james he was perfect and im burning off the wax You don’t have to move if you don’t love No you don’t love me anymore And it wasn’t long before I fell for a hole where no heart Had ever lived- falling for a fort just to crawl Running. All the wounds are running down to our shoes Robbing any grave, carry them away, you found an old soul
4.
West of Here 03:54
I hear you asking for my love Your love is like keeping warm with the oven on Your love is like golden sun when the sunlights gone Your love is like falling off from a higher height Your love is like faking heat in a fire fight I hear you asking for my love All this time I though didn't wanna meet my friends Cause you’re only nice when I take you to manhattan inn And all late nights is making hating me your only song Cause you know I work and I dont like to admit im wrong I hear you asking for my love
5.
Grace 03:41
A highland made for two sons in may (or) Two sons who made sure would last a lifetime never sold I laughed at grace cause the dogs were faced off Fire comes but its late- and the sisters silently wait We broke the off roads- Faked that we know And if he said so would follow in his trail Being that we were knew here- oh the air and some kinda new fear Colder hair in our coliseum, older there then on the CD I will visit you a different man Maybe you know him now Will you settle on indifference Maybe you show me how Maybe you show me (how)
6.
Baby I Feel 03:47
Cross eyed, its dark We played Sharon in the park And I rode so cautiously This rides one speed Even if I tell you that I don’t baby I feel Gold lines, frost eyes We pray to patterns low tide And I own beds but no sheets These whites won’t bleed Even if I tell you that I don’t baby I feel Even If I tell you that I don’t baby I feel
7.
We washed blood teeth in the sea It’s too cold to get the B I’ve seen ghosts like scene kids see Seen all of them freeze Out the air from lungs that can’t breathe Pushing new limbs to the T My best heat was the one that we last Your best heat was the one without me Oo We washed clothes in your chlorine From dirt when i feel off the win And in the nest we lay new leaves Another twelve months we won’t read Keep it close blocks or stations She won’t ride the G Just as long as we fake it Glory, forward the sea (“C”)
8.
Messy Pretty 05:00
Are we done tryina fit the sky in a lake Gonna act like rivers take the same path to the sea We don’t need to bend don’t need a break When the sun dies, your all the same Is it once, or is it all a mistake To weight months, and years the same We don’t need your friends, don’t need their say When the sun’s gone, I’m here to stay You’ve been all your life I came just in time So if you knew all it took To make it all right Call it off, call it carried away When I leave you’re never ok But we don’t need to bend, don’t need a break And when the sun’s gone I’m here to stay You’ve been all your life I came just in time So if you knew all it took To Make it all right You’ve been all your life I came just in time So if you knew all it took To Make it all right
9.
Man Mile 04:24
David I never took the time to say That lately I took you for OK But i wouldnt transfer twice just for miles let it rip, with me its never one trip Never fall in love on the man mile Noel I know this wasn’t your style You wanted eyes, you wanted a confident try But patience is meaningless if you’re only inside Let it out cause we both know you didn't want mine You’ll be coming out ill be copping out And ive been on your list for a while now Never fall in love on the man mile Solo I hear you asking for my love
10.
Glorietta 02:39
Oh glory, oh glory glory Glorietta, on edge Oh glory, oh glory Glory Glorietta, on edge And my mind is set, my mind My mind is set on ending We’re ending again Oh we’re ending again We’re ending again So keep your words Keep your hands your friends For better or for worse And we war we war we war We war we war we war but i warned you
11.
Fuse 03:50
We have no need for brand loyalty We have no want for ledes And if the center can resent us Can we let them be Set off the fuse below this coiled seam Set up the fire on top this city scene Set up the fire, we cannot fire fear Set up the fire, we got another year We got, we got, we got another year Dismiss the distance Go weld your arms on tight We missed the distance and we missed the fight Let’s burn our spines down just to hold the night They’d burn their spines down just to tow the line We got, we got, we got another year

about

Noble Kids is Bryce Barsten, Michael Steiner, and Kevin Chang. Their sophomore record ‘Messy Pretty’ is a bold collection of songs that speak loudly and clearly about queerness and identity, through personal experience and interpretation. It represent the messy but honest process in which they created the record, and the dynamic among the bandmates - A little messy pretty. With sparks of shiny pop, buried beneath indie rock, their sound is driven by an interplay of clever guitar work, unafraid and upfront vocals, dirtied by demo takes and reprocessed sounds. They teamed up with engineer Greg Giorgio (Sharon Van Etten, The National, Tokyo Police Club) (Tarquin Studios) to make the record, and recorded the record over the span of almost 2 years, from demo to final print. They are so incredibly excited for you to hear it. So share it with friends, play it on long drives, and embrace all things messy pretty. <3
